Listening Workshops and Staff Development
Listening is vital to healthy relationships, vibrant communities, and a wholesome and productive workplace.
My Neighbor’s Voice offers staff development in the art and practice of listening.
Our online forums and workshops provide immediate practical experience in listening to strangers, colleagues, and/or friends who discuss their ideas about art, healthcare, immigration, citizenship, gun legislation, literacy, race relations, and more. Using The My Neighbor’s Voice (MNV) Listening Cards© which contain universal community questions, our trained and certified MNV moderators ensure a safe and welcoming format for each voice to be heard; each story, thought, and opinion to have its own respected place. All companies, groups, schools, and religious organizations can benefit from meaningful and manageable opportunities to listen with intention and compassion for the greater good of all of us. Here’s what one employer said after recently attending a My Neighbor’s Voice Staff Development:
Brandy Amidon. Co President and CFO of Brains on Fire
“Despite our diverse backgrounds, experiences, histories and political viewpoints, it became clear that we really are more similar than we are different. We care — about our team, our families, our neighbors, our communities. The way that care and concern is brought to life may look different from person to person, but the core desire is the same. We all want to build a better world — and we all have a role and a responsibility in shaping it.”
We offer one hour moderated online forums for groups of 50 or more in small break out sessions. It’s fun, it’s practical, and it’s a positive act toward building stronger relationships and more welcoming communities among colleagues, staff, and group members. Don’t just take our word for it; You can read more about Brandy’s experience here.
My Neighbor’s Voice is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Currently, our forums and workshops are offered based on suggested donations. To schedule an event contact Victoria Chance at victoria@myneighborsvoice.org or 864-616-0154
